Group one selected to create a merge of their two favourite movies "Matrix" and "Blade" for the this practice film and from this you get the Blatrix!

Group two select for their practice film to make their own version of the "6th Sense" and created the 7th sense film.

At this stage the group had completed their practice films, through which they learnt how to storyboard, shoot their film, edit it and produce their final DVD.

The challenge was then set for the young people to come together as one group and create a piece that would reflect the youth issues important to them.

They explored with the youth worker what was important to them today and decided from a long list something that they wanted to write a story about and film
their way. Drugs was the theme and the message was "don't give into peer pressure".

This Film will give you a short insight into what the young people got up to making their film and how they did some if it. The camera was handed over to the young people to film all the time and any valuable out takes where used.

The Youth Service today is being challenged more and more to prove the impact we are having on the lives of young people, and also help prepare them for what
the future may have in store for them both emotionally and skills wise.

This programme, although simple in its concept, developed within this group roles and responsibilities, learning about their peers, skills in film making, working together
with others and exploring issues that are important to all of them.

In this short evaluation film we asked the young people to tell us what they thought of their experience with the Youth Service ICT.

After this project this group have proceeded to develop a short animation film about moving from primary to secondary school with a local animator and have remained
together.
