The Northern Ireland Trading Standards Service is responsible for ensuring that businesses comply with various pieces of consumer protection legislation.

Services Provided

The key challenge for the NI Trading Standards Service is to protect consumers and honest traders against sharp practice and unfair trading and to bring about compliance through working in partnership with the business community and other public protection organisations.

Youth In Action

Between 2007 and 2013, the 'Youth In Action' Programme offers young people, volunteers and youth workers across Europe and further a field the opportunity to access thousands of pounds to carry out work on a wide range of themes.

You can get funding for Youth Exchanges, Youth Initiatives, Youth Democracy Projects, Volunteering, Study Visits, Feasibility Meetings, Job Shadows, Seminars and Training Programmes.
