Tesco Waterside Half Marathon

Tesco Waterside Half MarathonRun, Walk, or do a relay! Take part in the Tesco Waterside Half Marathon in aid of 'Children in Crossfire'.

Register and contact Sarah Gallagher at Children in Crossfire for more information by calling 028 7126 9898 or e-mail events@childrenincrossfire.org.

Children in Crossfire are asking each participant to raise £100 in sponsorship and can provide you with fundraising materials and a t-shirt to wear on the day.

Young People and Money Free Money Management Training

Money ManagementYoung People and Money has been developed by the Consumer Financial Education Body (CFEB) in partnership with Citizens Advice and leading youth charity, Fairbridge. Specifically developed for those who work with young people not in education, employment or training (NEET).

The programme aims to empower workers to improve the financial capability and awareness of the young people they work with. The course is designed to improve a workers confidence by equipping them to better support their young people in becoming financially capable citizens.

Young people and Money is a Free, one day training course delivered in Northern Ireland by Citizens Advice.

Topics covered on the Young People and Money training day include:

  • The psychology of young people and money.
  • Income.
  • Budgeting and banking.
  • Credit.
  • Skills to engage young people in financial matters.
  • Debt management

Between 2007 and 2013, the 'Youth In Action' Programme offers young people, volunteers and youth workers across Europe and further a field the opportunity to access thousands of pounds to carry out work on a wide range of themes.

You can get funding for Youth Exchanges, Youth Initiatives, Youth Democracy Projects, Volunteering, Study Visits, Feasibility Meetings, Job Shadows, Seminars and Training Programmes.
