Please Report any Broken Links you Find

broken_linksAs the Input Youth site is still in beta there may be a few broken links, especially on the job guide pages.

In fact, please let me know if you have any problems with the new sites design and usability as this will help to improve everything for everyone, sooner rather than later.

Many thanks for your help,

Chris, Web Designer at Input Youth

Site Wide Search Box Improvements

Google have started to reindex the input website and this has already started to improve the results you get when using the site wide search box at the top of each page.

Searching for job guides now produces mainly the correct links i.e ‘www.inputyouth.co.uk/jobguides/jobdescription’ (rather than ‘www.inputyouth.co.uk/jobdescription’ which results in a 404 page).

Of course, when Google completes the site’s reindexing, the accuracy of the searches will dramatically improve.

Ongoing web site improvements will continue to be posted here.

Limitations with the Third Beta

Although the newly designed Input Youth website is published and useable by our visitors there are a few areas that are still under development.

These are primarily:

  1. The site wide search box at the top of each page which does not yet detect sub folders, such as the jobguides section.
  2. The related jobs sections of each job page (these provide links to other job guides).

You may also find a few links that do not take you to the desired page but to a 404 page which sends you to the Input site map.

All these problems will soon be sorted out although the site wide search box depends more on Google reindexing the Input Youth website than anything we can do.

Ongoing developments will continue to be posted to this blog.
